TORONTO -- Justin Bieber's manager has blasted the Grammy Awards for shutting the 18-year-old teen-pop superstar out of this year's nominations.
The Stratford, Ont., native has earned Grammy nods in the past, for best new artist and best pop vocal album for his debut "My World 2.0."
But his chart-topping newest record, "Believe," was left out when nominations were announced Wednesday for the 55th Grammys.
And his manager, Scooter Braun, said the singer deserved more recognition.
"This time there wont be any wise words, no excuses, I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board you blew it on this one," Braun tweeted late Wednesday night.
"The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. The kid delivered. Huge successful album, sold out tour, and won people over," he added. "This time he deserved to be recognized and I don't really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision I don't agree with."
Braun's other major Canadian client -- "Call Me Maybe" songstress Carly Rae Jepsen -- fared better, nabbing nominations for song of the year and best pop solo performance.
Still, Braun wasn't satisfied.
"Thought you deserved a best new artist nom, but proud 'Call Me Maybe' got you two noms," Braun tweeted to the Mission, B.C., native.
"So proud of you."
Bieber has yet to weigh in on the perceived snub.
