Huronia West OPP say a 27-year-old man from Georgetown is dead after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Wasaga Beach Sunday morning.

The motorcycle was travelling westbound on River Road East, east of Huron Street, sometime before 10:15 a.m. Sunday when it entered the eastbound lane for an unknown reason and struck the pickup truck.

The identity of the victim has been withheld pending notification of the man’s next of kin.

Investigators are on scene gathering evidence. River Road East has been closed between Zoo Park Road and John Street to allow the investigation to continue.
