A male cyclist is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Milton Friday night, Halton police have confirmed.
It happened on Tremaine Road, between Lower Base Line and Side Road 2, at around 9:30 p.m.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately known.
Police are currently looking for a black vehicle with front-end damage that failed to remain at the scene.
The area is expected to remain closed for several hours as police continue to investigate.
