A man was rushed to hospital with critical injuries early Tuesday morning following a shooting in Etobicoke.
The incident occurred near Lake Shore Boulevard and 11th Street at around 4:30 a.m.
According to police, a man was found inside a basement apartment in the area suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics initially said the man, who is believed to be in his 20s, suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local trauma centre.
Speaking to CP24 Tuesday morning, police confirmed that the vicitm is now in stable condition and is expected to survive.
Police have not released any information on potential suspects.
Officers will be reviewing video surveillance footage in the area.
