Police have closed off a portion of Queen Street East after a garbage truck struck a pole early this morning.
Queen Street, between Coxwell and Rhodes avenues, has been closed in both directions due to the collision. Coxwell Avenue is also closed from Dundas Street to Eastern Avenue.
Streetcars, including the 501 Queen, the 502 Downtowner, and the 503 Kington Rd., are turning back in the area and shuttle buses are operating.
