Police are appealing to the public for information as they search for two suspects wanted in a string of recent purse snatchings in the Queen Street and Spadina Avenue area.

The suspects are believed to be responsible for a total of five street-level robberies between Saturday afternoon and Monday evening.

In each of the incidents, a suspect approached a woman from behind, grabbed her purse and then fled the scene on foot. In the latest incident on Monday evening, one of the suspects threw a51-year-old victim to the ground during the course of the robbery.

Four of the incidents have occurred on Cameron Avenue near Queen Street while the other incident happened nearby on Vanauley Street.

As part of their investigation, police have released surveillance camera footage that shows the suspects.

The first suspect is described as wearing yellow pants and a dark-coloured hoodie with light-coloured sleeves. The second suspect is described as wearing dark glasses, a grey hoodie with a white band on the hood and light-coloured sleeves .
