Police have identified a man who died in a head-on collision on the QEW with another man who has been charged with impaired driving causing death.

Gregory Morley, 31, from St. Catharines, was driving toward Niagara Falls in his Buick Century around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday when he was killed in the crash near Fifty Road in Stoney Creek.

Ontario Provincial Police said they had received a call about a Toyota pick-up truck travelling the wrong way toward Toronto in the Niagara-bound lanes shortly before they heard about the collision.

When police arrived at the scene, they found that both vehicles had suffered extensive front-end damage.

Ryan Quatsch, 28, from Toronto, was driving the pick-up truck, police said. He was treated for serious injuries from the crash and is currently in police custody, awaiting a bail hearing Wednesday morning.
