Durham Regional Police are searching for suspects after a home invasion in Oshawa on Wednesday.

Police say a 57-year-old man was at his house near Cedar and Erie streets at around 1 p.m. when he heard a knock at a rear sliding glass door. When he approached the door, he found two male suspects had entered his house. One of the suspects hit the victim multiple times in the head with an unidentified weapon until he fell to the ground.

The suspects stole the man’s wallet and cell phone before fleeing the scene.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

Police say the first suspect is described as a white male, five-foot-six to five-foot-eight, with a slim build, weighing about 150 pounds.

The second suspect is described as a white male, between 18 to 20 years old, with a medium build, weighing about 180 pounds.

Both suspects were last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
