York Regional Police are trying to identify a man captured on security video as part of an investigation into a fatal stabbing at Canada’s Wonderland.

Authorities say the man, at this point, is a “person of interest” in the case.

The photos show a man in the middle of an unidentified scene and police say the images were taken after the homicide occurred.

While police say the video was taken in the area of Wonderland, they refused to be specific about the location in an effort to ensure witness accounts are in fact accurate.

Police say officers were initially called to the Vaughan amusement park, located at 9580 Jane Street, shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday after receiving a call about weapons in the area. When officers arrived, they found two males suffering from stab wounds in the parking lot. One of the victims, 21-year-old Kevin Ramkalawan, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other victim, an 18-year-old Toronto resident, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition has since stabilized and he is expected to survive.

The person in the video has been described as a black male with an average build, wearing a black track suit and an Aeropostale hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact York Regional Police’s homicide unit at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7865.
