A 25-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Milton late Friday afternoon.
It happened in the Derry Road and Fourth Line area at around 5:45 p.m.
According to Halton police, the woman was attempting to cross Derry Road after getting off a GO bus when she was hit.
She was rushed to a trauma centre where she is currently in stable, but critical condition, police said in a release Friday night.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured. Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the incident.
Derry Road was closed for several hours for the investigation.
