A woman who was stabbed multiple times inside a Mississauga parking garage earlier this month remains in critical condition as police continue to hunt for suspects.

Police say the victim, who has been identified as 59-year-old Ming-Chien Hsin, had just returned home to her apartment on Shipp Drive at around 11 p.m. on Nov. 13 when the incident occurred. She was inside the underground parking garage in her building when she was approached from behind by an unknown suspect. The suspect stabbed her multiple times before fleeing the area.

Hsin suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition.

Peel police were not able to confirm the circumstances surrounding the attack or whether the victim and assailant knew each other.

Investigators say they are reviewing surveillance footage but have not released any images of the suspect. Police also haven’t provided a suspect description.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 1233 or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
