TORONTO - Kasperi Kapanen and Kerby Rychel each had a goal and two assists as the Toronto Marlies came back from an early two-goal deficit to beat the Hartford Wolf Pack 5-3 in American Hockey League action Sunday.

Hartford led 2-0 after first-period goals from John Gilmour and Nicklas Jensen before Kapanen got the Marlies on the board with a power-play goal 38 seconds into the second.

Rychel tied it up with a power-play goal at the 9:25 mark, but Hartford took another lead 2:20 later on a goal from Chris Brown.

Toronto's Milan Michalek scored 2:33 into the third to tie the score 3-3, and Richard Clune gave the Marlies their first lead of the game at the 7:47 mark.

Brendan Leipsic scored an empty-net goal to put the game out of reach.

Garret Sparks made 30 saves for Toronto (), while Magnus Hellberg stopped 32 shots for Hartford ().

Toronto was scored three power-play goals on eight opportunities, while Hartford scored once on three chances.
