A male cyclist, believed to be in his 30s, has died in hospital after striking a tree in Oakville on Thursday night.
Halton Regional Police say the man was biking on a sidewalk on Eighth Line near Grand Boulevard when he was unable to maneuver around a sharp turn and hit a tree.
He was rushed to hospital with critical injuries but later died.
Halton Regional Police's collision reconstruction unit attended the scene and have taken over the investigation.
Police say they will not be releasing the name of the cyclist.
