Parts of Lake Shore Boulevard will be closed this week for resurfacing work.

Two westbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard will be shut down from Yonge Street to British Columbia Road from 6:30 p.m. Sunday until 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Two eastbound lanes will also be closed from British Columbia Drive to Lower Spadina Road until 5:30 a.m. Monday.

One lane of traffic will remain open in both directions at all times.

The Lake Shore Boulvard closures will be in effect June 2 to June 4 and from June 8 to June 14 from 8 p.m. each evening to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

In a news release, the city also said a significant amount of road construction is expected to be underway in the city.

People are being advised to use public transit as an alternative to driving wherever possible.
