VICTORIA -- Leader Elizabeth May is encouraging Canadians to vote with both their heads and their hearts by sending Green Party MPs to Parliament.

May concluded her final day on the federal campaign trail with a Green party rally in Victoria on Sunday.

The gathering marks the end of May's three-day blitz across Vancouver Island, where she visited all seven of the region's ridings.

May is expected to hold on to the party's lone riding of Saanich--Gulf Islands, her seat.

The Greens are hoping to at least double their seat count in Ottawa with a victory on the South Island.

Well-known former CBC Radio host Jo-Ann Roberts is looking to beat New Democrat incumbent Murray Rankin in Victoria -- a riding the New Democrats narrowly won in 2011.
