TORONTO - Toronto is auctioning off pieces of the city's history starting next week.
About 100 decommissioned street signs will be put up for sale online Monday, and city officials say more will be listed each week.
A spokesman says there are about 1,750 old signs to be sold off and each will be displayed on the auction site for 60 days.
The auction company -- Platinum Liquidations -- says bidding will start at $30 and increase in increments of $5.
The sale comes as the city continues to replace damaged street signs with new and more easy to read ones.
Officials say signs that are too worn down will be recycled rather than sold.
