Toronto police say they are searching for a 21-year-old man after a man was shot twice in the abdomen in the Thorncliffe Park neighbourhood last month.

Police say that on March 14 at about 11:55 p.m., two men met at 50 Thorncliffe Park.

Police allege a fight ensued between the two men and one shot the other twice in the abdomen before fleeing the area.

Police and EMS arrived at the scene a short time later and located the victim. He was taken to a hospital trauma centre via ambulance emergency run.

The victim is still recovering from his injuries, police say.

Police say Haaris Khan, of Toronto is wanted for attempted murder. Police say they are actively searching for him and believe he frequents the Thorncliffe Park area.
