Toronto police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the assault of a cyclist in an east-end park last weekend.
According to police, the victim, a 42-year-old man, was riding his bike through Dentonia Park, in the Danforth and Victoria Park avenues area, shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday.
As he rode past a group of seven men, an argument ensued, and the victim was struck by one of the men.
The victim was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
On Tuesday, a suspect was arrested in connection with the case.
Nurul Choudhury, of Toronto, is charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
He was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
