A man escaped a gunpoint home invasion by jumping off his lower-floor balcony, Toronto police say.
The man told police the suspects were armed with firearms when they entered his suite at a high-rise apartment building in the 3100 block of Eglinton Ave. E., at Markham Road, early Tuesday morning.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident.
The suspects fled before police arrived.
Police are investigating the motive for the home invasion. They say the victim is known to them.
No one has been arrested, and police have not recovered any firearms.
