A 41-year-old Toronto man faces four charges following the robbery of a Toronto Transit Commission collector over the weekend.

It happened at Lansdowne Station shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday.

According to police, a man made a demand for money while pointing a weapon concealed under his clothing at the TTC employee.

The man fled the station with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Later that day, police allege the same man entered a drugstore in the Eglinton West and Caledonia Road area shortly before 1 p.m.

He threatened to shoot a store employee if he was not handed cash, police said.

The employee was able to escape without surrendering any money.

Police announced the arrest of a suspect Monday.

Saleem Al Kindy is charged with two counts of robbery with an offensive weapon, and two counts of disguise with intent.

He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
