A man pulled from a pool at a water park in Clarington has died in hospital, Durham Regional Police confirm.
It happened at around 9:30 a.m. at Cedar Park Resort, located just north of Bowmanville.
Police say a male employee of the resort was standing in one of the pools before the facility opened for the day when he suffered a medical episode and slipped under the water.
He was pulled from the pool without vital signs and other staff members administered CPR until emergency crews arrived.
The man, who is believed to be in his 20s, was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim.
