A man in his 20s was stabbed while boarding a TTC bus in the city’s east end on Wednesday afternoon in what police are describing as a street robbery gone bad.

Police say the victim was attempting to get on a bus near Victoria Park Avenue and Crescent Town Road at around 1:25 p.m. when he was stabbed in back by two male suspects.

The man was then rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspects were last seen running into an apartment building on Crescent Town Road.

According to Const. Jenifferjit Sidhu, the stabbing appears to have resulted from some sort of street robbery. It is not clear if the suspects were successful in obtaining any property from the victim.
