A 35-year-old motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle collision in the northeast end of the city.

At around 4 p.m., the motorcycle collided with a car at Eglinton Avenue and Brentcliffe Road. Toronto EMS transported the victim to Sunnybrook Hospital and Toronto police say the man sustained serious head trauma.

Police closed the eastbound lanes of Eglinton Avenue at Laird Drive and the westbound lanes of Eglinton Avenue at Leslie Street. Brentcliffe Road was also closed northbound at Vanderhoof Avenue.

All roadways had reopened by around 9 p.m.

No charges have been laid in the crash, which police say is still under investigation.
