Weather

Temperatures are dropping fast this morning but will steady around -11 C. This weekend calls for more cold weather and a chance of snow.

Traffic

Slippery roads caused several crashes across the GTA this morning, particularly southbound on Highway 400 in Vaughan. The most serious crash happened on the QEW in Niagara. One person died and police have closed the highway between Lyons Creek Rd and Bigger Rd. to traffic. The closure is expected to last throughout the morning.

Subway disruptions

The TTC reported switch problems at Wilson Station, warning commuters they may experience longer than normal wait times this morning between Wilson and Downsview Stations.

This weekend, subway users will be forced off the subway at St. Andrew Station on the University-Spadina line due to work being done on the tracks between St. Andrew and Union stations. Those who need to access Union can do so from the Yonge line.
