It will be mainly sunny today with a high of 22 C. The evening will see a low of 11 C with fog patches developing.

News:

A new Nanos Research poll shows that more than half of survey respondents have a “negative impression” of Doug Ford. The poll also showed John Tory’s lead continuing to grow in the mayoral race ahead of his rival candidates.

Brian Gallant leads the Liberals to a majority government in New Brunswick’s provincial election.

Netflix refuses an order from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to turn over confidential subscriber information.

Road Closures:

Queen’s Park Crescent from Bloor Street to College Street, and Hoskin Avenue from St. George Street to Queen’s Park Crescent will be closed from 12:30 to 2 p.m. for the swearing in of Elizabeth Dowdeswell as the 29th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Wellesley Street West will remain closed until 3:30 p.m.

Adelaide Street West will be partially closed from Simcoe to York streets until Nov. 15 for watermain work, TTC track work and road re-construction.

Events:

The JFL42 comedy festival continues till Sept. 27 with notable names such as Wanda Sykes, Seth Meyers, Emily Heller and Joe Rogan.
