NEW TECUMSETH, Ont. - Provincial police say a 49-year-old OPP officer is facing assault charges.
Police say Const. Mario Iusi, of Amaranth Township, Ont. was arrested on Tuesday.
Iusi -- a 14-year member of the OPP currently with the Dufferin detachment -- is charged with two counts of assault.
Investigators say the charges are the result of an allegation stemming from an off-duty incident in November 2015.
Iusi has been released from custody and is to appear in court in Bradford, Ont., on Feb. 11.
