Four people are facing drug-related charges after RCMP officers discovered a methamphetamine lab inside an Etobicoke home.
A specialized team of RCMP officers dismantled the meth lab with the help of a Toronto Fire Services haz-mat team and Health Canada chemists Saturday.
No evacuations were necessary, said RCMP Sgt. Brent Hill.
The drug lab was found inside a home on Turnvale Road, near John Garland Boulevard and Martin Grove Road, as part of an ongoing investigation, Hill said.
“This is the result of some hard work by our investigators,” Hill told CP24.
Police would not say how long the meth lab had been inside the home.
Hill described it as a “fairly sophisticated operation” that was intended to generate large profits.
“It’s more geared towards larger batches of methamphetamine,” Hill said.
Four people are in custody as they face charges.
