Police in London, Ont. have identified a suspect sought after an 18-year-old man was fatally shot while trying to retrieve a missing cellphone last weekend.

Jeremy Ryan Cook was found shot multiple times in a parking lot at 1365 Huron St. shortly before 5:30 a.m. on June 14. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, Cook was trying to retrieve a cellphone left in a taxi. Using an app, he tracked the phone to an address in the city’s north end.

Police had previously said they were looking for three male suspects.

In a release issued Friday night, police identified a 23-year-old man sought in connection with the shooting.

Muhab Sultanaly Sultan, of Calgary, is wanted for second-degree murder.

If spotted, he should not be approached, police cautioned.
