York Regional Police are seeking two suspects in connection with an early morning sexual assault in Richmond Hill.
Police say the victim was walking in the area of Crosby and Newkirk avenues between midnight and 1 a.m. when she was approached by two unknown men who proceeded to throw her to the ground and rifle through her belongings. Police allege that the men then sexually assaulted the victim.
The suspects are both described as between 16 and 25 years old and five-foot-eight to five-foot-ten with thin builds.
Police are urging anyone in the area with surveillance cameras to check the video footage to see if they may have captured images of the suspects.
As well, police are urging anyone in the neighbourhood who may have seen or heard something to come forward.
