Police are searching for two male suspects after a brazen home invasion in Brampton.

According to Const. Lilly Fitzpatrick, the suspects forced their way inside a residence on Centre Street North in Brampton at around 5:10 a.m.

At that point, Fitzpatrick says the suspects, one of them armed with a gun and the second possibly armed with a large knife, tied up a male occupant who was home at the time.

A female was also in the home but was not tied up by the suspects.

Police say the suspects subsequently fled the scene; however it is not known whether they took anything.

The male who was tied up by the suspects suffered minor injuries, according to Fitzpatrick.

The suspects are both described as black males between five-foot-six and five-foot-nine, who were wearing dark-coloured hoodies at the time.

Police are appealing for information in the case.
