A motorcyclist has life-threatening injuries following a crash in Mississauga Friday afternoon.

It happened at Mississauga Road and Dundas Street West at around 3:30 p.m.

The circumstances surrounding the crash, which involved a car and a second motorcycle, were not immediately clear.

Paramedics originally said that the 26-year-old man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Peel police, however, said that the patient’s injuries were later deemed to be life threatening.

Mississauga Road was closed for several hours following the crash as police investigated. It reopened shortly before 9:30 p.m.
