Police are appealing to the public to help identify a suspect after a young woman was sexually assaulted in the elevator of her apartment building in the Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue area.
Police say a male suspect followed the victim to the area of her apartment building on a TTC bus around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 27.
He then followed her into the elevator of her apartment building on Jane Street where she was sexually assaulted, police say.
The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, standing between five-foot-six and five-foot-seven with a slim to average build. He is believed to be 18 to 20 years old. He was wearing a dark-coloured cap, a dark face covering, a white hooded sweater with a black vest and dark-coloured sneakers.
