Toronto police are trying to identify and locate a male who they say was spotted several times with a gun on the city’s subway system last week.

During a near-two-hour span late Thursday night and early Friday morning, the male was seen with a gun tucked into his waistband aboard a subway train at St. George Station and as he exited the station on Bedford Street, police said in a news release Monday.

He was later seen loading a magazine into the handgun on the subway at St. George, according to police.

The sightings on the subway occurred between Thursday at 10:41 p.m. and Friday at 12:20 a.m.

Twenty minutes later, the male was spotted with a gun concealed in the front pocket of his hoodie near Christie and Bloor streets.

At 1:20 a.m., the male was seen a final time near Christie Street and Barton Avenue.

Police said the male is white, 18 to 21 years old, six feet tall and 160 pounds with short, dark brown hair and slight facial hair on his chin.

He was wearing a black Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap, grey Adidas hoodie, grey skinny jeans (possibly acid wash), and purple or blue high-top shoes with white laces.

According to descriptions provided to investigators, the gun has a black handle with a silver body. At least one person told police the gun had a laser sight attached to it.

Police said the male is considered armed and dangerous, and people should call 911 and stay away from him if they spot him.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
