Durham police are trying to identify a male cyclist who was fatally injured when he collided with a vehicle in Ajax early Friday morning.

Police say the cyclist was crossing Audley Road, just south of Bayly Street, around 6:30 a.m. on his grey, 21-speed TREK bike when he was struck.

He had no identification on him at the time.

He’s described as brown, standing approximately five-foot-11 with an average build. He was wearing a white jacket with a red stripe, a black T-shirt and pants, and grey running shoes.

Anyone with information about the collision or the male’s identity is asked to call Det. Const. McDonald of the Durham Police Traffic Services Branch at 888-579-1520 ext. 5213.
