Police are issuing a warning about a series of sexual assaults that took place in the Bloor Street West and Ossington Avenue area over the Thanksgiving weekend.

The first two incidents occurred Saturday night. Two separate women reported being sexually assaulted by a man who came up behind them as they walked south on Montrose Street, just north of College Street around 11 p.m. According to police the assaults happened within minutes of each other.

Then on Sunday another woman reported being sexually assaulted after a man came up behind her as she was walking south on Grace Street from Bloor Street around 11:45 p.m.

The assaults happened in the same neighbourhood where some 10 other sexual assaults occurred over the summer.  The description of the suspect in all three weekend assaults is similar to that given by other women who were assaulted in the area.

He is described as black, 20 to 45 years of age, approximately 5’7 to 5’10, with short hair and a stocky build.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416−808−7474 or to Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416−222−TIPS (8477).
