The occupants of a Willowdale home managed to escape safely after a three-alarm fire tore through the residence early Saturday morning.
The fire broke out at the home on McKee Avenue near Bayview and Finch Avenues at around 3:30 a.m.
Toronto Fire says that by the time crews arrived on scene there was heavy flames and smoke billowing out of the rear of the house.
It took 60 firefighters about 90 minutes to knock the blaze down, Toronto Fire said.
It has not yet been determined what caused the fire.
Reports from the scene indicate that there is extensive damage to the home.
