One person is in custody and two others are on the loose after a robbery at a convenience store in Woodbridge early Friday morning.

The robbery occurred at a store which also serves as a Canada Post outlet in the area of Highway 7 and Kipling Avenue.

Police say the suspects entered the shop by cutting a hole in the roof but were unable to get out of the building through the front door.

The security alarm went off and when the owner arrived, she found the suspects inside and called police.

Two suspects apparently escaped the building through the hole they cut in the roof but one suspect, who had an injured foot, was unable to flee the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate.
