Two women are in hospital with serious injuries after a car crashed into a pole in Riverdale early Tuesday morning.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at Broadview and Eastern avenues shortly after 3:30 a.m.
A Toronto EMS spokesperson said two women, believed to be about 23 and 24, were taken to a trauma centre for treatment.
One of the women suffered severe head injuries, while the second woman suffered a back injury, the EMS spokesperson said.
Toronto police said their injuries are not life-threatening.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
