We could soon learn who will replace Bill Blair as police chief.

Blair's last day on the job is April 25th and CP24 has learned the board is getting close to a decision and it could come this weekend.

It is believed the final interviews were conducted yesterday.

Among those interviewed to replace Blair are three deputy police chiefs -- Peter Sloly, Mark Saunders, and Michael Federico.

However the next chief doesn't have to come from Toronto. The board has also interviewed chiefs from other jurisdictions as well.
