Police have released security camera images of two suspects wanted in connection with a violent assault in Toronto’s west end last week.

According to police, two men were approached by a group of seven to nine men in the area of Dufferin Street and Bloor Street West at around 11 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Investigators said an argument ensued and the two men, ages 48 and 20, were “violently assaulted” by the larger group after the verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation.

The group of men who police believe carried out the assault fled the area.

Two of the suspects were captured on security cameras fleeing the scene of the assault, police added, and security camera images have now been released in an effort to identify some of the men who were allegedly involved.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 416-808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
