Police in Guelph, Ont. are searching for three suspects riding in a black Ford pickup truck used to ram the doors of a strip club and speed away with an ATM machine early Wednesday morning.

At 6:52 a.m. Wednesday, police said they were called to the Manor Strip Club on Silvercreek Parkway South for a report that that a truck was ramming the front doors of the establishment.

When police arrived at the scene, they saw a pickup truck dragging an ATM machine along the ground, heading southwest away from the strip club on Wellington Street West.

Investigators say the suspects chained the ATM to the truck, and drove off, "causing extensive damage to the entrance way doors," police said.

After the pickup truck crossed the Hanlon Expressway overpass, police said the ATM machine broke free of its tow and came to a rest on the shoulder of Wellington Street West.

The truck, described as a black four-door Ford F150, was last seen continuing southwest on Wellington Street.

The Manor is a Guelph institution of sorts, having once served as the home of beer magnate George Sleeman. The Cohen family who run the establishment was the subject of a feature-length documentary film in 2013.

It also became the unusual host site of a church service on Sundays in 2014, run by members of the Elora Road Christian Fellowship.

Anyone with information about the attempted theft is asked to contact police at 519-824-1212, ext. 7241, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
