Three men are facing a combined 68 charges in connection with a rash of break-ins, muggings and vehicle thefts that have taken place in Toronto and York Region over the last two weeks.

According to police, the offences took place between Sept. 18 and Oct. 3. and included two retail robberies, six muggings, a carjacking and a number of vehicle thefts.

Police further allege that the robberies were committed with physical force, resulting in a variety of injuries to multiple victims.

On Sunday, police arrested two men in connection with the incidents.

John Cruz Barros, 22, of no fixed address, is facing 31 charges, including forcible confinement, assault, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon while Cassidy Field, 18, of Toronto, is facing 36 charges.

A third suspect, 18-year-old Aekwon Murray, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with robbery and wearing a disguise.

Police are continuing to investigate.
