Toronto police have charged two 18-year-old Toronto men with second degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of 21-year-old Trey Theriault in Scarborough’s Cliffcrest neighbourhood on Sunday.

Theriault was stabbed outside a variety store in the area of Kingston Road and Rockwood Drive some time before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night after he was involved in a dispute, police said.

Witnesses said Theriault knocked on a neighbour’s door to ask for help before collapsing. He was taken to hospital but succumbed to his wounds on Monday morning.

Tyron Green and Saleh Osman, each face one count of second degree murder. They were scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Tuesday.
