The Toronto sky will light up with an array of colours for Victoria Day celebrations.

The weather is expected to be beautiful Monday afternoon, with a high of 26 C and plenty of sunshine, but there is a chance of rain later in the evening.

CP24 has you covered with a list of what’s going on around the city plus what’s open and closed.

Fireworks and other family-friendly events

The City of Toronto is hosting a display of Victoria Day fireworks on Monday at Ashbridges Bay, at Lake Shore Boulevard East and Coxwell Avenue, at 10 p.m.

The TTC says they will increase their service on Victoria Day to make things easier for those travelling to see the fireworks. Those making their way to Ashbridges Bay on Monday will see more buses between Queen Street East and the Bloor-Danforth subway on the Coxwell (22A), Main (64), and 92 Woodbine South routes.

The long weekend kicks off other summer events around the city including Artfest Toronto running until Monday. Residents can enjoy the art in the sunshine as the outdoor show features 85 artists at the Distillery District located at 55 Mill St.

While government buildings are closed for Victoria Day, people can still enjoy many ongoing events. The Toronto Zoo is featuring a new giant panda exhibit, which opened Saturday. This weekend is the first time the public can catch a glimpse of pandas Er Shun and Da Mao.
