Peel police say they have located a vehicle that was used in a hit-and-run crash in Mississauga on Thursday afternoon but are still looking for its driver.

Police say the silver Mercedes vehicle struck two pedestrians near Explorer Drive and Skymark Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday before fleeing the scene.

The victims, a 62-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Following the collision, police released a description of the vehicle as well as its licence plate number and appealed to the public for help tracking it down.

On Friday morning, police then confirmed that the vehicle had been located.

Police are continuing to look for a suspect in the case. The suspect was previously described as Hispanic with dark air in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
