Two teenagers, including a 16-year-old boy, have been injured in a shooting in the east end on Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened at a highrise building at 20 Teesdale Place, near Pharmacy and Danforth Avenues after 6:30 p.m.

One person was shot in the face, but did not suffer deep penetration and has been taken to hospital with minor injuries. Whereas, a teenage boy was shot in the back and arm and rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Two people have been taken into custody, but police are looking for a third suspect, who fled on foot.

The suspect was wearing a dark baseball cap and blue jeans. He was being pursued near Leyton Street.

The Emergency Task Force along with the canine unit is on scene, and a perimeter has been set up.

There is no information on a motive for the shooting.
