cp24.com

The Ontario Fire Marshal is now looking into a fire at Buddhist temple in the city's east end on Friday morning.

Fire crews were called to the Toronto Buddhist Centre at 4698 Kingston Road at about 2 a.m. Investigators say a number of small plastic bottles were filled with gasoline, lit on fire, and left under the wooden deck of the building.

The fire was put out quickly, but damage is estimated between $20,000 and $30,000.

Police say they believe there is security video that will be able to help in their investigation.

A similar incident took place at the same location in May. Police are calling today's fire, "a hate crime."
