The son of a woman found dead in a west end apartment has been arrested in the incident, police say.
Police received a call for an assault at 240 Scarlett Rd., near Eglinton Avenue at about 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
A 49-year-old man was arrested from the third floor apartment. Police say the woman, 78, had died from injuries she suffered.
Investigators say a neighbour may have made the initial call about the incident.
