HAMILTON, Ont. - A Hamilton woman wanted in connection with a human trafficking investigation was arrested at Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport.

RCMP in Hamilton allege the suspect had false identification and was apprehended while boarding a flight to Hungary with her daughter on Wednesday.

Police had been looking for Krisztina Csaszar, 30, since Dec. 14, when an arrest warrant was issued for her and 13 others.

They are suspects in a major human trafficking investigation involving Hungarian nationals allegedly forced to do construction work in Hamilton.

The RCMP have arrested nine of the suspects, and eight are detained pending trial.

A publication ban remains in effect on the court proceedings.
