Man impersonates officer

Toronto Police are looking for help identifying a suspect who is believed to have impersonated an officer.

Police say a man went to a home in the Yonge Street and Highway 401 area before 1 a.m. where he asked the homeowner to let him in as part of an investigation.

The homeowner asked for his ID and the man left.

The suspect is described as white, in his 30's, between 5'10" and 6'0" with a medium build. The man appeared to be carrying a gun and was wearing a vest with the word "police" on it, beige pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police or crime stoppers.

Shell casings found

Toronto Police are searching for suspects after shots were fired in the Islington and Finch avenues area.

Police were called to the scene around 2:20 a.m.

Officers say there are no reports of any injuries but a number of shell casings have been found.
